PallathamkulangaraBhagavathiTemple is one of the ancient temples in Kerala,situated at KuzhuppillyVillage, VypinIsland, Ernakulam Dist. Only 19kms away from KochiCity. The deity is "Parasakthi" (Mother Goddess) in the nature of "Durga Bhagavathi" in her full grandeurence. Around 700 years back the place where the temple now stands was sea, from there fishermen got an astonishing Devi Idol & they handed over the Idol to the governing people (Desa Pramani) of that locality. Later, the sea draw back from that area and there they built the present temple by the name "PallathTemple". This "Pallath" later become "Pallathamkulangara". Single deity (Eaka Vigraha Prathishta) is a specialty here. The temple is blessed with the presence of 'Budhan' (Lord of Education). Students often offer "Vidya Manthra Archana" for attaining academic excellence.
